Joe is a Manager of Customer Acquisition who’s been at HomeStars since November 2018. When not in the office, you can find Joe at home watching a “good” bad movie or working on a sculpting project. Meet Joe by learning more about him below.
What is your role at HomeStars?
I’m currently the Customer Acquisition Manager with the Marketing team.
My role entails putting together a customer acquisition strategy that will help HomeStars reach its lead targets for 2020. My day to day revolves around planning, building and developing new and existing digital channels to engage and convert new leads for the business development team to connect with.
What makes you excited to come to work every day?
My day to day job requires a lot of planning and problem solving which makes it challenging and every day is usually very different. Currently, I’m focused on how the company can prepare for the impact of the upcoming TV commercial planned for Q2 this year.
What qualities do you look for in a teammate?
Professional and friendly are two things I look for in my teammates. Working with people who want to do good work but are approachable and funny.
What has your journey at HomeStars been like so far?
I started at HomeStars a little over a year ago as the Senior Paid Acquisition Specialist. Coming from an agency background it was great getting to do a deep dive into understanding the company/product/pros before building out the acquisition channels.
I have since been promoted and added as a lead on the balanced marketplace mandate team, which is great as it allows me to work with people from lots of different teams and get a better understanding of how the matching engine works and leads are distributed.
What has been your proudest moment at HomeStars?
Getting promoted and the vote of confidence that that represents was/is a point of pride.
What’s a fun fact we don’t know about you?
I didn’t learn to swim until I was 23, then taught myself, and within six months got my advanced SCUBA diver certificate.
