Alicia is an Account Director who’s been at HomeStars since October 2012. She loves spending time with her family and friends and travelling the world. Meet Alicia by learning more about her below!
What is your role at HomeStars?
I am an Account Director at HomeStars. This means I reach out to companies and encourage them to utilize our platform to build their online reputation and connect with homeowners.
What qualities do you look for in a teammate?
A great teammate always develops great relationships with their teammates.
What has your journey at HomeStars been like so far?
I’ve been with Homestars for 7 years now. I started as an account manager and after two years into the position, I was promoted to Account Director.
What has been your proudest moment at HomeStars?
Over the years I’ve had numerous proud moments, but the one that stands out the most was an alarm company that was very close to bankruptcy. He was upset and desperate. He followed the HomeStars formula for success and he was very grateful that we helped him save his company and grow his business in a very short time. He has been calling me for years and tells me how grateful he is that I called him on that given day to save his livelihood. He recommends other companies to join HomeStars every chance he gets.
What is the best piece of advice you have gotten working here?
When I started my new position as Account Director, I asked one of the top performers what was her secret to success and she replied, “have great conversations and ask lots of questions.”
At the time I thought it was vague because I wanted her to go into detail. I later understood the simplicity of her response encouraged me to find my own way. Sometimes when I over complicate situations, I think back to that simple moment and it grounds me.
