Tom is a Senior Business Development Consultant who has been at HomeStars since August 2018. When not working, Tom is playing the guitar, reading, gyming, travelling, singing, and learning about sales. Meet Tom by learning more about him below!
What is your role at HomeStars?
I’m on the Sales team and I see my essential role as making the best HomeStars case I can to every Service Professional I talk to, getting them excited to do business with us, and setting them up to have successful relationships with their Account Manager.
If you could trade jobs with someone at HomeStars for a day, who would it be and why?
No question, it would be Kevin Mahon. I’d want to get a taste of the many stories he must hear in Verification every day. Plus, I just want to be Kevin Mahon. Have you seen that guy? *insert fire emoji*
What has your journey at HomeStars been like so far?
When I started out at HomeStars, I was part of a new team that were responsible for launching a pilot project. From there, I became a part of the regular sales team and never looked back.
Along the way, I have had the privilege to lend my voice and “acting” talents to a few marketing initiatives and I’ve also done my best to build tools that help the Sales team.
I was very proud to receive my promotion to Senior Business Development Consultant in December 2019, one year after I started selling. I learn something new every day at my job and am thankful for every opportunity I have to grow in my role. I consider myself very fortunate to have an enormously supportive manager and team at HomeStars who have helped make this the best job I’ve ever had. 🙂

Practical answer: I’d love to be able to easily learn new languages.
Impractical answer: I wouldn’t mind bringing my breakdancing skills up to speed.
If you were a dish of food what would you be?
Probably butter pecan ice cream, since I’m mostly sweet but also a bit nutty.
