During the Calgary Stampede, HomeStars and Urban Barn came together for an important cause, helping to raise funds for the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter. Throughout the campaign, any reviews that came in were worth $20 towards the cause, with HomeStars donating $10 and Urban Barn matching it.
The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter is unique in that it was the first shelter in Western Canada for women and their families fleeing abusive situations. Thirty-five years later, they are now the largest organization in Western Canada for women, children and men fleeing abuse and domestic violence. The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter is a registered charity and offers a variety of safety, prevention and healing programs.
HomeStars and Urban Barn raised over $400 for the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter during this campaign and we are looking forward to partnering with them again for other events and charity fundraisers to help out this important cause once again!
If you have a charity that you would like to raise funds for, we are open to learning more about your charity and how we can help. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have a great idea and need a partner to help you succeed.
