Jennifer Robinson is a Contract Integrity Specialist who has been at HomeStars since March 2017. Jennifer’s first job was working at McDonald’s in her hometown at the age of 15. The training provided was amazing and gave her the opportunity to learn about hard work, making decisions and being part of a team. What is your role at HomeStars?
As a member of the Contract Integrity Specialist Team (CIS), we make sure that the quotes/contracts sent in for any new sales are correctly completed and properly billed at the start. This is a relatively new department and we are just getting started! We will soon be taking on more responsibility for other parts of the organization and we look forward to growing the team.
What makes you excited to come to work every day?
Without question, my colleagues. I work with an incredible group of highly talented people who are also very good human beings!
What has your career progression been like at HomeStars?
The company has grown considerably since I started, so adapting to new opportunities has been key. I was the original member of the ProHelp Team which handled all the incoming Customer Service calls. After that role, I took on the Quality Assurance role which helped to keep the sales message clear and consistent when signing up new Home Service Professionals to our platform. Now, I am part of the new Contract Integrity Specialist Team. I am always learning something new every single day so that keeps it interesting. I have enjoyed the variety, challenges and rewards that each role has presented.
If you could trade jobs with someone at HomeStars for a day who would it be and why?
I have always been interested in Human Resources but changed my career path at the last minute. While Human Resources is certainly far more than just interviewing and hiring people, I find that particular process fascinating. I imagine it can be very challenging but also quite rewarding.
When you aren’t at HomeStars, what are you doing?
My family life keeps me fairly busy but in my downtime, I like to go on super long walks, watch British/Scandanavian serials and on occasion do absolutely nothing. Ok, so maybe more than just occasionally.
