Karen is our Salesforce Systems Supervisor who has been at HomeStars since May 2019. Within her first quarter, she led a massive project and took over the management of the Sales Operations team. Her proudest HomeStars moment was speaking in front of over 100 people at our company-wide offsite. Meet Karen by learning more about her below!
What is your role at HomeStars?
My official title is Salesforce Systems Supervisor, but I’m the acting Sales Operations Manager.
In my role, I lead the sales support team through the everyday needs of the Sales and Customer Success team. Manage our Cloud softwares and various third-party applications, as well as work collaboratively with other departments on technical infrastructure projects.
What makes you excited to come to work every day?
The wonderful people I work with. Our culture of learning, curiosity and honest feedback motivates me to face the many challenges a dynamic department like mine faces. Time really flies, there’s never a dull moment here.
How do you stay up to date within your evolving industry?
I use various resources to stay up to date in my industry, I read blogs daily, as well as participate in local associations and virtual communities. I continue to learn through various online courses and work to keep all my certifications current.
As a child what was your dream job?
As a child, I wanted to be the first female president of Argentina. All Argentinian presidents were lawyers, so at that time in my life that meant becoming a lawyer.
If you were an animal, which one would you be and why?
I would probably be a beaver. Beavers are always planning for the future, they form families and help the local ecosystem. Plus I love Canada and they’re our national animal.
What fictional place would you want to exist and why?
Hogwarts, of course!
