Kelsey is a Business Development Associate who’s been at HomeStars since October 2018. Having come a long way since her first job as a hostess, Kelsey is now smashing goals and hitting her sales targets! When not in the office, Kelsey can be found trying out the newest and trendiest restaurants in the city. Meet Kelsey by learning more about her below.
What is your role at HomeStars?
I am a Business Development Associate here at HomeStars. My job is to screen contractors across Canada to find the most reputable service professional that would be a good fit for the HomeStars program. I advise clients as to what package would best suit their needs and coach them to be successful on the platform.
What has your journey at HomeStars been like so far?
When I first started at HomeStars, the very thought of talking to complete strangers all day scared me! I was nervous and didn’t know what to say. I have since become much more confident in myself. Not just in my day to day duties at work, but as a person in general. I have also begun coaching others and taking on responsibilities on my team I would have never thought I would be capable of. Additionally, I have gained a huge insight into the world of online advertising. I’ve learned about a variety of online platforms, their strengths, their weaknesses and overall, what works for my clients.
What makes you excited to come to work every day?
The culture at HomeStars is amazing. I have made such good friends it doesn’t even feel like going to work anymore. I also love the fact that I get to converse with such a variety of different people. I learn something new at HomeStars every day!
What qualities do you look for in a teammate?
My ideal teammate is someone who is hard-working, a team player, coachable, and overall someone who supports and believes in me and the rest of the team. They need to have passion to not only do well but to listen, learn and lend a helping hand when needed.

What is your secret talent?
