What is your role at HomeStars?
I am a part of the HR team, working as a recruiter to help HomeStars grow. I hire for all levels of Sales and Marketing and always ensure I am representing HS in the best light. I am the candidate’s first point of contact via email, then on the phone, then I keep in touch to schedule and get them in to meet the hiring manager.
My days tend to be pretty busy! Between phone interviews, team meetings, applicant screening, and sourcing, I usually am back to back.
What makes you excited to come to work every day?
It excites me that I am a part of real change – hiring like-minded people who want to be a part of a growing company, do well for themselves and the company and have a good time. I can directly see the impact of my efforts by the amazing work my hires do (shoutout to you all! <3).
If you could trade jobs with someone at HomeStars for a day who would it be and why?
I definitely would love to switch with someone on the Engineering team! The work they do goes so unnoticed at times but without them, our technological platform wouldn’t run smoothly! Plus, you need to be so technically skilled to do well in those roles. I applaud them!!
Describe the qualities of your ideal teammate.
My teammates are awesome right now! They are thoughtful, helpful, kind but most importantly, they get the job done! I’m always looking to work with people who want to work hard just like me. 🙂
What is your secret talent?
My secret talent is that I am always trying to get the best deal! I am my friends’ go-to to ensure they’re getting a good deal on something, especially clothes haha.
What is one skill that you would like to master?
Although I’m a big beach girl, I don’t know how to officially swim! I would love to learn one day.
