Disha started in September 2020 as our SEO content writer. Since she started, she has always looked for ways to improve our cost guides and other SEO content. She is a positive member of the team, consistently bringing forward opportunities and creating new types of content. One of Disha’s great strengths is her ability to go beyond keywords and put herself in the shoes of the reader and understand what information the reader would find useful.
In addition to excelling at her own work, Disha is always looking for ways to help the rest of the team and has put together helpful SEO guides for the rest of the team to use when creating content. Disha is a key team member and we’re looking forward to her growing her career at HomeStars.
What is your role at HomeStars?
At HomeStars, I work as an SEO Content Marketing Specialist for the B2C side of our amazing marketing team. I also contribute to the Pro-Centre and work with the product team on smaller SEO-specific tasks. My goal is to make the HomeStars content homeowner-friendly and optimize our web pages with better SEO practices. One of my major projects so far is the Cost Guides. These help many Canadian homeowners to understand the costs related to different home renovation projects.
What makes you excited to come to work every day?
The regular support and positive enthusiasm of my team makes me excited to log in every day! I love creating new strategies, brainstorming different content ideas with our Managing Editor Jessica Greaves and doing interesting keyword research that never lets me get caught up in Monday Blues!!

What is the best piece of advice you have gotten working here?
Don’t be afraid to speak up your mind! My managers Jessica Salloum and Andrew Duncan gave me this advice which helps me speak up and share my mind whether it’s a big project or a small suggestion.
What is your secret talent?
I am a really good planner and can organize any event at very short notice. Be it a corporate event or a birthday party, I can plan the perfect bash in just a couple of hours!
What is one skill that you would like to master?
I would like to master the art of Origami, the Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures. It fascinates me how a small piece of paper can be turned into something so delicate and beautiful!
What fictional place would you want to exist and why?
Hands Down the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Being a big fan of the Harry Potter series (I have read it in 3 different languages), I would definitely like to travel across the hallways and navigate my way through the changing staircases.
