Albert is a Software Engineer who has been at HomeStars since April 2019. Albert was voted July’s Employee of the Month and describes his ideal teammate as someone who is competent, cares about their craft, and is a good communicator. Meet Albert by learning more about him below!
What is your role at HomeStars?
As a software developer, I help build out new features that help connect Homeowners to Service Pros. On a typical day, I am working with the Product Team helping turn user stories into code and working with my peers to meet our objectives.
What makes you excited to come to work every day?
Our culture, the learnings and seeing the direct impact my work has on the success of the company. Overall, I really love the fact that I help to build software that makes peoples’ lives better. That’s what keeps me motivated and excited to come to work every day.
If you could trade jobs with someone at HomeStars for a day who would it be and why?
Eric Boshart – I think it’s very interesting to see how he turns high fidelity designs from the Product Team into code.
When you aren’t at HomeStars, what are you doing?
Playing with my kids, reading/listening to audiobooks and watching soccer.
How do you stay up to date within your evolving industry?
Constantly reading, talking to friends in the industry and subscribing to relevant online resources.
