Adam has been instrumental to the success of the platform team and engineering department with his focus and dedication to improving deployments, local development, and environmental parity. He utilizes his prior experience, coupled with his understanding of the challenges of the Eng/Platform dept. Adam has proven to continuously exceed expectations and deliver on his promises time and time again, resulting in highly successful software/infrastructure upgrades (migrations) without issue.
What is your role at HomeStars?
My main projects involve designing and implementing new infra/DevOps tools/architectures (e.g. setting up Jenkins CI/CD, redesigning our AWS architecture to use multiple accounts managed in terraform). I also run my team’s sprint/project planning and huddles.
If you could trade jobs with someone at HomeStars for a day who would it be and why?
Probably Adam Davidson, or anyone else in Product. Given my role, I often get the product vision kind of through broken telephone/on a delay, so it would be nice to be more directly involved in understanding the product vision and how it’s created.
Describe the qualities of your ideal teammate.
Opinionated, but willing to change their mind when faced with new data. Smart/quick on their feet, able to navigate multiple levels of thinking.

If you were a dish of food what would you be?
Something like a linguine Pescatore fra Diavolo, multiple complex flavours, spicy, but at its core a hearty simple dish. Like me, I’ll have a bunch of layers to what I say, I’ll say it passionately, but in the end, I’m pretty simple to figure out.
What fictional place would you want to exist? Why?
The SGC, because aliens, a higher plane of existence, what more could you ask for?
