To go along with that new powder room or master bathroom you’re planning, we’ve rounded up the trends we’re noticing in reviews when it comes to sinks and vanities in Canadian homes. From natural elements to a fresh take on classic black and white, we’re seeing all of these trends overlapping with each other, making it easy to incorporate them into your next bathroom renovation.
Floating Vanities:
Up and away, floating vanities are taking off as a top trend this year. All of these bathrooms showcase this trend while also highlighting some other top trends of the year – black and white, and square sinks. To see the full projects and pricing details, click on the companies names: ONERENO Inc. Canadian Premier Construction Inc. and Strataline Inc.
Wood and Natural Elements:
Just as we’ve been seeing throughout the rest of the home, bringing the outdoors in with natural elements is continuing to be a big trend this year. Take a look at the use of wood, stone, and marble in these bathrooms by Rebarn, Chicasa Design, Easy Bathroom, Local Renovations and Design Inc., Nirelli Homes, and Complete Bathrooms.
Square is Cool:
More than ever, we’re seeing a shift to square sinks in Canadian homes these days. You can see the trend incorporated in our other top trends, but specifically in these bathrooms by Chicasa Design, INNOVERA Home Concepts, A Marco Plumbing Ltd., Bathroom Design Build and Hidri Contracting.
Black and White:
Always a classic combo, we’ve been seeing a lot of black and white in kitchens this season. The trend has now spread to the bathroom with a mix of white and black vanities. These companies know how to make classics fresh again, Green Maple Home Renovations, A Marco Plumbing Ltd., and Bathroom Design Build.
Mixed materials:
Taking it a step further, we’re seeing lots of mixing and matching to give these bathrooms a unique look. The combinations are seemingly endless. We’re particularly partial to the blue vanity by Envisions Remodling. We also love the unique painted sink by Local Renovations and Design Inc and the dramatic damask printed counter by Bath Emporium. You can never go wrong with marble, always a classic, used in this bathroom also byLocal Renovations and Design Inc.
Double Duty:
Double the design with a double sink in your vanity. We particularly love the use of one large sink with dual faucets by Green Maple Home Renovations. A clever use of space with a chic look. Hidri Contracting shows that you can put double sinks in the trendy floating vanities. Nirelli Homes Inc gave this homeowner a modern update to their dual vanity by mixing and matching light grey counters with white cabinets.
We love seeing the beautiful photos that display the great work of these companies. If you’ve recently had some work done on your home, be sure to include a photo in your review so we can see it and possibly feature it in our next article!
