In case you hadn’t noticed, last week, we hit a major milestone on social media: our Instagram following has officially grown to 10,000 members strong! To celebrate, we thought we’d start by sharing why this community means so much to all of us at HomeStars and all the reasons why it is such an invaluable resource to homeowners and home service pros.
For the past 12 years, we’ve worked hard to create and curate a mutually-beneficial community for homeowners and home service pros. We’re here to empower homeowners to take on home projects with confidence and of course, a significant part of this journey is connecting with the most reliable, skilled pros in their area. As a result of this intersection, our Instagram has become a place where homeowners and home service pros can find sources of inspiration and wisdom, both from our posts and interactions with one another. We hope to continue to use Instagram to foster relationships not only between homeowners and home service pros, but also within the home improvement community, allowing pros to network, share ideas, and plan future projects together.
Platforms like HomeStars are some of the most important tools for home service providers right now and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. 88% of homeowners read reviews before hiring a home pro, so being able to amplify word-of-mouth referrals using the power of the Internet and social media can have a huge impact on businesses of all sizes. These referrals, collected by HomeStars in the form of online reviews, are what make our platform an invaluable tool for homeowners looking to make the best possible hiring decisions.
In turn, we’ve discovered that Instagram is a fantastic platform for re-sharing the over 8,000 reviews we publish every month from homeowners across Canada. With Instagram, we’re able to promote top businesses to an even wider network than the 1 million homeowners who visit our site every month. We look forward to empowering homeowners and pros in this way through our growing social media community.
As we’ve learned from magazines, blogs and now Pinterest and Instagram, the saying is true — a photo really is worth 1,000 words. Through our blog, Instagram and Pinterest accounts, we can stay with our users on their home improvement journey from inspiration to completion. Whether its a dream kitchen or beautiful bathroom, we’re constantly looking for the latest trends in interior and exterior home design to share with our followers. Often times, our posts feature actual HomeStars projects submitted by homeowners using our platform, or pictures submitted directly to our account from pros themselves. Not only can our followers build a dream home through photos, but they can also identify the pros who can bring it to life.
We’re excited to continue sharing all the projects, home tips and design trends we can find with our ever-growing social media community. Continue to tag us in photos of your homes, projects, and stellar reviews. Thank you for being a part of our HomeStars community, and if you haven’t yet, make sure you follow us. We couldn’t have made it here without all of you! See you again soon at Instagram.com/HomeStars.
